Appointment of Chairman, NAeL

Shri Sajal Prakash, Chief Executive Officer, Accessories Complex, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited has been appointed as Chairman of Naini Aerosapce Limited w.e.f 28th September 2020. Shri Sajal Prakash was nominated as Director on the Board of Naini Aerospace Limited effective from January 11, 2018.

Shri Sajal Prakash is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from HBTI, Kanpur and also holds post graduate degree of M.Tech from IIT Madras.

Shri Prakash joined Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) as a Management Trainee (Technical) in July 1986 and has been associated with HAL for over 34 years. He had served in various key positions across the different verticals within HAL. Under his leadership, Transport Aircraft Division, Kanpur has overcome multiple challenges and emerged much stronger besides consistently meeting annual targets of all financial & physical parameters.

Shri Prakash with his rich and varied experience has been instrumental in identifying solutions related to intricate technical problems and strategic issues. He provided valuable inputs and also extensively contributed to GOI's "Make in India" strategy by manufacturing Civil Do-228 and has set roadmap for enhancing self-reliance & self-sufficiency through indigenisation efforts for obsolescence management and for developing alternate technology leading to product improvement & reduction in cost.

Shri Prakash has taken several e-initiatives, implementation of which have brought in systemic changes, transparency & process improvement. Shri Prakash is also Chairman of Kanpur Branch (UP & Bihar Chapter), Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI).
